National Youth Service Corps Management approves date for 2019 batch ‘C’ stream 1 passing out parade

National Youth Service Corps management approves Thursday 15th October 2020 as the date for the passing out of the 2019 Batch C (stream 1) Corp members. 

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a program set up by the Nigerian government to involve Nigerian graduates in nation-building and the development of the country. There is no military conscription in Nigeria, but since 1973 graduates of universities and later polytechnics have been required to take part in the National Youth Service Corps program for one year. This is known as the national service year. Ahmadu Ali served as the first Director-General of the NYSC until 1975. The incumbent Director-General is Shuaibu Ibrahim.

Major General Suleiman Kazaure was appointed director-general of the NYSC on 18 April 2016 and served as the 17th DG of the scheme until his redeployment to the Nigerian Army Resource Centre on 26 April 2019. Until his appointment, Ibrahim, the new NYSC boss was the Registrar, Nigerian Army University,

Approved date for 2019 batch ‘C’ stream 1 passing out parade

1.     Monday 12th October 2020:

a.     Release of passing out Corp members by employers 

b. Registration/clearing of Corp members by a local government inspector 

2.    Tuesday 13th October 2020:

a.  Signing of final clearance by zonal inspector 

b.  Administration of questionnaire (form 4B) on 30% of the passing out Corp members 

3. Wednesday 14th October 2020: The signing of final clearance by zonal inspector 

4. Thursday 15th October 2020: Distribution of certificates of national service to deserving Corp members at the local government level.
