     Roger Makanjuola is alive, says OAU. The administration of the Obafemi Awolowo College, Ile-Ife, on Monday, debunked the rumor concerning the loss of life of Prof. Roger Makanjuola, saying the ex-vice-chancellor was alive.

An announcement by the vice-chancellor, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, stated the report circulating on social media which claimed that Prof Makanjuola was useless needs to be disregarded.

The assertion reads partially, “Visibly fearful by the damaging information, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, confirmed that Prof. Makanjuola is in glorious well being and never underneath any menace.

“He, subsequently, suggested bloggers to be cautious and desist from  spreading unverified information about individuals.”

In the meantime, the vice-chancellor has counseled Makanjuola, for sacrificing his time, power and sources for the general growth of the college.

Ogunbodede gave the commendation in a congratulatory message to mark the seventy fifth birthday of the previous vice-chancellor.

The VC stated, “A world-renowned Professor of Psychiatry, Prof. Makanjuola, who clocks 75 years outdated, was invited by the Federal Authorities of Nigeria to be the vice-chancellor of OAU, when the Establishment was in disaster, first in performing capability earlier than he finally grew to become the substantive vice-chancellor efficiently finishing his time period in 2006.

“Makanjuola, whose tenure established the Development Workplace, additionally ran an all-inclusive administration, with extra emphasis on the participation of alumni within the affairs of their alma mater.”
